Our headquarters

Our offices at 10 Hudson Yards are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified, a rating given by the U.S. Green Building Council, a membership-based nonprofit promoting sustainability in building design, construction and operation.

Our stores

We’re committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our stores. Starting in 2021, we increased the percent of recycled materials in our customer packaging globally to least 75% (a rolling change as we use up existing supplies) and are increasing the use of sustainable and recycled materials and treatments in our fixtures and props. To make our stores more energy-efficient, we’re retrofitting them with LED bulbs that use 60% less electricity and moving to 100% renewable energy sources by 2025.

Our workshop

In 2024, our Coach (Re)Loved and Repair Workshop was awarded the Gold-Level TRUE Zero Waste Certification* – a leading certification program for zero waste. This means that over 90% of our waste** (95.4% to be exact) is diverted from landfills or thoughtfully repurposed by our artisans to craft something new. This accomplishment for the Coach community is made possible by our partnership with Recycle Track Systems (RTS), a third-party leader in traceability and sustainability solutions for the materials, waste and recycling industry, and was inspired by our commitment to reducing and rethinking our impact on the planet.

*Learn more about the four certification levels, Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum, for TRUE Zero Waste in the link below.

**Waste includes items generated at the workshop, such as food scraps, packaging, and Coach (Re)Loved production waste. We divert these items from landfill through different channels such as recycling, reuse, repair, composting, and more. Our fulfillment center

We’re clean behind the scenes, too. Our main distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida, has earned a LEED Silver Certification, which reflects its environmental and energy efficient design credentials. The center’s robust recycling program means that, in fiscal year 2021, 86% of the waste that it produced was kept out of landfills. As of February 2022, eCommerce packaging that leaves our distribution centers globally will be made from 75% recycled content and 100% recyclable.* Our newest fulfilment center, which we just started building in North Las Vegas, Nevada, has been designed for LEED Gold certification.

*At this time, excluding extra-large shipping boxes due to structural durability considerations.

Pop ups and events

For store pop ups and events, we are increasingly using elements that are recycled or returned to where they came from in the spirit of creative re-use. For example, to launch our Coach (Re)Loved program, we created in-store pop-up shops made with recycled materials, vintage furniture and donated pieces from local designers with a sustainable focus.
